PENTHOUSE RENTED IN BARCELONA

Sagnier’s work is part of the Barcelona of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, the era of Modernism, in which there was a great boom in the construction of both official and religious buildings and private buildings, highlighting the large Stately mansions built by the Catalan bourgeoisie, which benefited from a time of great economic splendor, mainly due to trade with the Spanish colonies in America and the Philippines. It also coincides with the period of rebirth of Catalan culture (Renaixença), which leads to the revaluation of the Catalan cultural past, especially from the medieval period.
